On Friday morning, Daddy and Mummy tried letting me sleep on the mattress instead of my cot. I refused to sleep and crawled all over, crying when Mummy moved me back to the mattress. After 45 minutes, Mummy put me in my cot and I fell asleep in 10 minutes. I woke up late and we rushed out to visit Aunty Hooi Ling and her 1 month old baby. I liked the baby, kept wanting to look at the baby and even gave her a kiss! Mummy got some calcium and EPO supplements from Aunty Hooi Ling who's a pharmacist. Aunty Hooi Ling gave me a pair of pretty pink sandles, yay! (Did I mention that I love shoes?)
After we got back from visiting, it was time for my nap. However, there was a renovation going on with drilling work on the pipes, and I found it very hard to fall asleep. In the end, Mummy decided to bypass my nap and let me have my dinner. Daddy brought me for a swim at the pool after that. I squealed with joy when I went into the pool and throughout the whole swimming session... I missed swimming you see...
In the evening Aunty Koid came to visit me and she brought me a kiwi bird! Now I have 2 kiwi birds, the other one is from Aunty Karen. Yay! I cannot wait to go to NZ to see a real one, ok Daddy Mummy?? I fell asleep immediately when Mummy put me to bed at 7.30pm. Tired le.
The next morning, Saturday, guess where we went? To the zooooooooo in Taiping! Since I love reading and seeing animal pictures, and I'm always excited to see the real animal. By the time we got to the zoo, I was ready for my nap. It was very very hot and humid, even with my portable fan, I was sweating lots. Finally I fell asleep in my stroller. Mummy asked Daddy to take pictures of me sleeping at the zoo to prove to me that I was there!
When I woke up, I was very excited to see a playground at the zoo! Also excited to see the deer and the bears (I say 'kkeeeerrr' when Mummy says 'bear'!). I kept pointing and saying 'aaahh!!'.. We saw lions, otters, elephants, tigers, zebras, etc etc.
Mummy felt this zoo visit was more fun that she remembered. Because I went with her mah hehe. Actually some people have told Mummy that they think Taiping zoo is better than Zoo Negara. Mummy has no comment coz she hasn't been to Zoo Negara in ages.
When we left the zoo, we headed directly back to Penang after grabbing a KFC takeaway. So I could be back in time for my afternoon nap. I had a nice nap.... and was woken up by the drilling again.
In the evening, we paid a visit to Aunty Chin Yin's house. When we got there, 1++ yr old Xiao Kai kor kor was so friendly with me that he put his fingers into my mouth and played with my teeth. I was not used to that and I cried! A few minutes later I played happily with the doll house and fishing game and started smiling at everyone.
On Sunday, we went to church and I joined the YA leaders meeting with Daddy after I woke up from my nap :) Mummy and Daddy get to pay lots of attention to the sermon nowadays cos I usually sleep from the start of it to the end of the service :) I got used to the drilling and slept well for my Sunday afternoon nap. Sunday evening I got to go to the playground and then swimming again!
We had a great family weekend :) More public holidays please??
