My One Year Old Birthday!

I'm one year old already!

Now Mummy has a task of teaching me to answer people's question when they ask me 'How old are you?' (I know how to answer when they ask 'Who's Shanna Lee?' - I will pat my chest/tummy area).

On the morning of my birthday I woke up and grinned happily at Daddy & Mummy. I was in a very good mood cos it was my birthday. After I had my milk, I got an Ang Pow from Daddy & Mummy. I like!

When Daddy & Mummy picked me up after work, they found me dressed me in a t-shirt that says Happy Birthday Minnie (mouse).

We had a nice evening walk at our apartment grounds and at the playground where I went down the slide for the first time! I preferred the see saw though. You'll see why.

I love meeting babies and children. When I see them from afar off I start pointing. When I get near I want to shake hands and sayang them. I'm a friendly girl! :D

It was a nice day and Mummy tells me that I got lots of birthday wishes from uncles and aunties. Everyone cannot believe I'm already one, they said 'so fast?!'

Daddy and Mummy agrees it's fast, and it has indeed been a wonderful year with me :P

On Sunday, there was a party for me! I was late to my own party as I didn't wake up on time from my nap and Mummy had to wake me up :P

Lots of uncle aunties jie jie kor kor came to our apartment... from CG, my babysitter AhMah Ah Gong, my Kau Fu, our neighbours, etc... people who have watched me grow in Mummy's belly and for the past year. To include everyone would be impossible (not that we didn't want to), so Daddy & Mummy kept it small scale. Mummy asked our dinner caterer Auntie Bernie to cook and cook she did! There was lots of yummy food (roti jala, noodles, curry chicken, onion chicken, chicken nuggets and fingers, jelly) and lots of pressies for me!!

I had a grand time... playing with jie jie Caris, being carried around by all the uncles and aunties, and eating watermelon, honeydew and my chocolate banana birthday cake! Daddy & Mummy wanted to get me a ladybug cake but it was a 7-day pre-order and they couldn't deliver on time, next year ok...

It was past my bedtime when everything was over so I didn't open my presents yet. Tonight ok Daddy Mummy?
