I mean overseas travel.
Yes, now Shanna has her passport! ... Not that we have any plans to go anywhere, Shanna is still small, but it has been our practice to have a passport for emergencies (I'm not expecting Darurat/Emergency or whatever, but you never know).
We (Tim and I) woke up extra early (Shanna still fast asleep) and arrived at Immigration at around 8am. Due to previous experience of passport photos taken at photo processing shops outside not being accepted, we had decided earlier to have Shanna's picture taken at the Immigration photo booth.
However, upon arrival, to my consternation, I was told that they don't service photo-taking for children and babies :(
We were about to head home when an uncle (one of those people who help passport applicants fill up their forms, photostat IC's) outside the immigration told us the Kodak Express shop down the road will open at 9am and we can have Shanna's picture taken there.
Finally at 9.15am, the shop opened. I had to wake Shanna up to have her picture taken. Her being so small, I had to balance her on my leg and try to make her body straight and facing the camera. Well, Shanna wasn't very happy to be woken up and then being held so uncomfortably, as a result, she looked very grumpy in her picture hehe...
For her height information in the passport, Shanna had to be measured with a ruler and she cried as she did not like being placed on the counter. Her height in the passport is 60cm :) After that, she was a happy girl when she realized we were out 'gai-gai' :)
Shanna's passport cost us RM150 instead of the usual RM300 for adults.
