It's a big privilege to be invited to be a flower girl, but D&M wanted Aunty Hooi Chong's wedding to go well too. Well, D&M decided to go ahead and sign me up... And Mummy talked to Aunty Hooi Chong to get another jie jie as flower girl, so I would have some guidance & company. Since then they prayed that I would be ready to be a flower girl.
Well, for those Aunties Uncles who see me regularly, they would tell you that I have become quite friendly and open. I go up and say 'hi' to people now, and love to go visiting to people's houses. I am OK to be carried by most people (even those I just met) when I'm not in a cranky mood. Most of all, I enjoy playing with gor gor jie jie's.
D&M's prayer was answered... in time for Aunty Hooi Chong's wedding.
The night before the wedding, I had problems sleeping. I woke up at 11+pm, and did not sleep well again until 4am, and woke up at 7am. Every 1-2 hours I would call for Mummy (wee wee, etc) and Mummy didn't get much sleep either. Thankfully, I was still in good form in the morning.
By the way, this was my first time attending a wedding. I missed many because D&M were travelling last year, and then I was quarantined after I got sick.
A small incident happened while I was waiting to walk in, I dripped grape juice down my dress! Mummy was slightly horified... no spare dress! Fortunately it wasn't very obvious under the yellow lights.
My Daddy was the pianist for the wedding, while Mummy was in front behind all the official photographers, so D&M have no pictures of me walking down the aisle, for now. Nevermind, I can tell you that holding on to jie jie's hand, I walked down slow and steady. D&M said they were proud of me.
Front row seats for us. Mummy's iphone and snacks kept me occupied throughout the ceremony.
Daddy had another dream come true.... playing a grand piano!
Holding Gary gor gor's (page boy) hand during the photo shoot
Though we sat near Daddy & the grand piano, I was not allowed to go near... finally after the ceremony Daddy brought me near the piano.
I was the 'star' and trying to look like one.
Mummy's method to get me to look at the camera is to ask me 'where is the letter C (for Canon) on Daddy's camera?' So I'm showing Mummy where the 'C' is.
