What A Nice Holiday...

Some months ago, D&M read the front page news in The Star that there is a plan to upgrade Redang Island to an exclusive 5 star holiday destination. D&M (and me!) have never been to Redang, so 'we' decided to go for a holiday there before the price hike.

Mummy was about to reserve a travel package with an agent when one of her colleagues revealed he was a Berjaya times share member, and offered to sell his annual 'free nights' to Mummy for an irresistable price... which contributed enough savings for us to go on another local holiday :P

We flew direct to Berjaya Redang resort on Berjaya Air via Subang airport. I didn't like the loud plane engine noise but once we got on the plane I was good as gold (*D&M nodding in agreement). 55 minutes later we arrived at Redang Island and there was a bus waiting to transfer us to the hotel 5 minutes' ride away. D&M each got a cool towel and cold fruit juice upon arrival.

At the check in counter, we got a found out the hotel decided to upgrade us to a deluxe suite for free (which would have cost almost 3x the cost of our regular room), housed in a 2 storey chalet building, a stone's throw away from the pool & seaside. I loved our suite! 2 rooms for me to run around, a nice Big bathroom, and I had my own cot :) Mummy loved the big space and Daddy enjoyed watching the LCD TV in the living room while I slept in the bedroom. Best of all, there was a mummy cat with six kittens outside our chalet! I learnt to hiss like mummy cat and mew like the kittens.

Poor Daddy was sick the 1st day of our vacation, but thank God he recovered soon. I played on the beach, in the swimming pool and in the sea every day. I loved it!!! I played so much that I had dreams and cried in my sleep on the 1st night and laughed in my sleep the 2nd night. I ate ALOT too! Mummy brought a mini cooker along and I did not miss my usual porridge, mee suah, mee hoon.... on top of that I ate everytime D&M ate. I would grab Mummy's arm and shout ' Aaaaammmm!' until food was offered to me... hungry mah after all the exercise....

D&M feel this was one of their best vacations. I know why... because I was with them mah :) It was a very relaxing vacation (Mummy started and finished reading a Jeffery Archer book) at a beautiful resort with a gorgeous beach, perfect weather, in super comfortable living quarters. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank God for all the blessings.

Getting on the airplane again coming back from Redang, I was a true pro and was so nonchalent about it (what engine noise? no problem!). Of course, I had my favourite pretzels, books, hanky and Mickey keeping me company.

Nowadays when asked 'Shanna went up in the airplane?', I would nod my head 'Yes!'. When reading the Peter & Jane 2A book about the seaside, I would keep pointing outside the door with a longing expression on my face. D&M, when can we go back to Redang?!?!
