Cameron ... here we go.... again... 2x

This is the second time we went to Cameron on the 4th of July 08 in this year. Let me see... we are giong to the same place again end of the year... argh!!!! but it's a nice place to be IF you enjoy the scenery and the temperature there.

So this July 4th outing was organized by CYA5 folks and I was just part of the members to join in ... and these are the culprits that create havoc in Cameron on the 4-6th July 08. We stayed at Lutheran Mission House which is on the same road going to OMF, and to our SURPRISE, the road leading to the LMF is VERY similiar to the road to Gondor (LOTR) it's really in the middle of the jungle with a sign "Look out for the gate" which obviously we didnt find any.

We went for the steamboat in Brinchang Town center and it was really a bad experience (second time being conned). The story goes like this. We were scouting for the "Best" deal in steamboat along the main road and all of the shopkeepers will tell you it's just 12 bucks per pax, but what they DIDN'T inform us was that the 12 bucks is using a cheaper soup and only applicable during weekdays. BUT still they try to attract people during weekend using the same phrase. Well, that's not the worst, after we got in, we ask the boss on whether the food is enough to feed all of us, and guess what he said? "Gurantieee you full one" (typical malaysian chinese reply). So ... by now you should have guessed how's the outcome. We have to scout around in the night market right after our dinner to fill in the empty spaces that have been promised that it'll be filled up with the "Gurantiee" phrase. So the moral of the story, DONT EAT STEAMBOAT there UNLEss you are willing to be conned.

Well, back to the night market, we found a apam balik store which sell the best apom (as what Penangite will call it) in the area, or even better then Penang's. We bought quite alot of stuff there and quite satisfied with the "Harvest".

Then, back to the LMF, we had a good time in fellowship and prayer and worship before we continue our program to some board games. We actually played Picturanies (by Shaun) most of the time and it was a fun fun fun time then... :)

Well... we'll have another story to tell soon in Dec for another experience in Cameron, with some personal surprise :D

:)
