Christmas 2010

This Christmas was a memorable one. We got a new Christmas tree! It is my first Christmas tree and Daddy's first too. At first, when Daddy was assembling the tree, I was nervous about getting close to it, but that was just for a moment. Now I like D&M to turn on the lights.

I also got some Christmas presents from D&M, new shoes and Crayola markers. On Christmas morning, after opening my presents, I couldn't wait to try it. I wanted to skip the potty time!

Daddy & Mummy tell me that Christmas is more than trees, lights and presents. We are reminded that God gave us the greatest gift, baby Jesus who was born to take away our sins.

We went to church on Christmas day and also the next day on Sunday. I danced and sang along during the praise and worship time. I was so very happy to see Esrene mei-mei that I laughed 'keke' when I saw her. Esrene mei-mei and I hugged each other tight, but Esrene mei-mei was so strong that I toppled over and fell down on my back. I cried for a while cos I hit my head on the floor. But not too long after that, I held hands with Esrene and walked around.

This photo is from last year, Christmas 2009, when I was just 10 months old.

Our Christmas family pic this year:

At Christmas cell group BBQ event, I was busy clapping and dancing when during the caroling:

Can you spot me?

Daddy went for the wedding dinner on Christmas day, so Mummy and I had dinner with Kao Fu. The next day, Daddy made roast chicken for our post Christmas dinner... it was delicious, yum yum! Too bad Kao Fu couldn't join us...

We were sad that Grandpa, Grandma and Ah Yi could not come to Penang to celebrate with us this Christmas as Grandma was sick, but we are looking forward to see them this week instead!

I know Grandpa, Grandma and Ah Yi miss me, so here are some pics Daddy took recently.

My typical look with mouthful of food. I like to keep food in my cheek... like a hamster, Mummy says.

I love to snuggle up to D/M when time for bedtime stories.

Mummy found old pacifiers (hardly used) and now it's a toy for me.
See my fancy dress? My Ah Mah (babysitter) gave it to me.

I give Pluto the 'chuit chuit'

Breakfast time is nice food for D&M, while I get oatmeal mostly...

Meet my new float! I can manuveor my way around the swimming pool now.

Can you tell how much I love it?!!

I am soooo happy when swimming. Jumping off the ledge is so fun!

No-no!

Announcement: We have arrived at the 'No-no' phase of Shanna's life.

Mummy: Shanna, do you need to wee-wee?

Shanna: No-no! (Five minutes later, come running to Mummy for potty)

Daddy: Shanna, let's put back your books and get ready to go out.

Shanna: No-no!! (another time of saying no just for the sake of saying)

Mummy (when feeding Shanna lunch): Let's eat up the delicious mee-hoon.

Shanna: No-no!!! (pinches her mouth close... this time she means it)

'No-no' is currently her favourite word and is said at least 5x more often than 'Ya' (little girl's version of Yes).

Make believe play is something Shanna is getting more interested in. Her soft toys and Little People get to eat & drink and go out 'walk-walk' everyday.

Wash hands and keep clean. She's slightly OC (obsessive compulsive) about cleanliness.... cannot bear any dirt on the floor or on her hands.

Time for 'mum mum'

Look carefully and you'll see pasta, besides tomato, juice and accorns.

Loving the doll house more and more.

Daddy-doll, Mummy-doll and Baby-doll all get to use the toilet, eat, go to bed and go out in the bus.

Melbourne Part 03

At National Rhododendrum Gardens, flowers were in full bloom.

At Collingwood Children's Farm, Shanna enjoyed herself thoroughly with the animals.
