My favourites

This is my favorite way to drink nowadays. Never mind that I sometimes choke. It's water that I'm drinking, not Vitagen (D&M finished it up)

Here is proof that I'm a right-hander ;) I like drawing on my doodle pad from GuGu who got it free from Qatar Airways.

P/s D&M have been telling me they will bring me up on the aeroplane again, hope I enjoy myself!

All Dolled Up

My little girl comes back home from babysitter everyday with a different hairstyle. There's the favorite 'coconut tree' style, the ponytail, the two pigtails, and the hairclip.

Shanna enjoys being dolled up. She would sit still when her hair is being fussed with, follow instructions to turn her head, and lastly admire her hair in the mirror and giving it a gentle pat ;-)

She's almost 18 months old now and her list of accomplishments grows. Besides learning to say more words, and singing her own little songs, she recognizes numbers 1-10 with about 80% accuracy.

She's more or less potty trained during day and doesn't wear diapers or nappies anymore. We have to potty her from time to time, or she will come up to us looking for attention. But sometimes there are mishaps when we forget or when she forgets she has to go. I haven't started night time potty training yet.

She still has only 6 teeth, for now. I can see the 7th and subsequent ones primed to pop out. We brush her 6 teeth every night :)

She has two naps a day mostly, but on some days, just one nap. At night she sleeps 10-11 hours. After she falls asleep in the evenings, hubby and I get to do our chores, and work, and then relax with reading, surfing the net and the occasional movie :)

She's generally a happy and obedient little girl, a joy to have around. However, she's in a stranger anxiety phase and is clingy when around people she is not familiar with.

When asked for her name, she says 'Na-na!' (Daddy is Dada, Mummy is Mama)

One Fine Saturday

Here is how I spent my Saturday with Daddy and Mummy.

I love to draw on my doodle board. Mummy interrupted me when she asked me to smile for the camera.

Then when I was playing with my doll house and Mickey, I was told to *yawn for the camera. Actually, I know why... Mummy wanted to check my teeth, but if she tells me to open my mouth, I'll refuse. I'll open when I'm told to *yawn.

I'm always happy to be home with Daddy and Mummy. I think Daddy and Mummy are happy to be home with me too!

I cannot jump yet so Mummy has to help me.

Don't you think I've got style?

In the evening, Baby Clement came to visit me (and use the swimming pool).

I'm bigger, but Clement di di is getting very big too.

Why did Clement pull my hair?

Oh, I see he's pulling his daddy's hair too.

OK, we can be friends :)

I love swimming!!!!

I had a very nice Saturday.

Looking back ...

i was sorting out the video that we have taken these 2 years and I'm so glad to see how much my Shanna has grown up

From the time she started to learn to crawl on tummy to the time she started to sit up... and now she's running around in the house happily!

Time really flies when you are busy and I'm really thankful to God for His protection and His mercy these 2 years upon us and Shanna. Seeing her grow up to be a big girl now (with her strong will) we are really glad to have her in our life.

14 months versus first month

we so miss her everyday, wanting to see her after our work.

Weekend with Grandpa & Birthday Party

Grandpa came to visit! When Grandpa was around, I forgot all my teething pains. I hugged Grandpa when I saw him and many times thereafter... I brought all my books and toys to Grandpa, I played hide and seek with Grandpa... I missed Grandpa since I saw him one month ago.

I'm trying to show how to 'fly up up up in the sky' with my legs just like the aeroplane!

Ponytail!

Jie Jie Wynne and her mummy Hooi Ying invited us to jie jie Wynne's 2 year old birthday party at Northam. It was the first birthday party I attended. Recently besides teething pain, I have also developed stranger anxiety, so I wasn't in my best behavior that night (D&M says).

Even though it's jie jie Wynne's birthday, I got many gifts at the door, including 2 party packs and a nice balloon. I loved playing with the balloons! I had lots of fun!

When the cake was brought out, we went on the stage to sing Happy Birthday to jie jie Wynne. I was facinated with the cake with candles and danced to the song. However when the crackers went off, and streamers fell from the air, I started crying. Then we went home after saying thank you to Aunty Hooi Ying for inviting us to the wonderful party.

That night, we got home past my usual bed time. As I was about to sleep in my comfy pajamas with the nice air cond on... suddenly there was no electricity. Mummy changed me into short sleeves onesie and Daddy brought over my portable battery operated fan. I was about to sleep again when suddenly, the electricity came back on and Mummy had to get me out and change into my long sleeves pj's again! I was very irritated and cried loudly for a few seconds, then I was fell asleep (to Mummy's relief).

I was the smallest girl... trying to chase after the balloons with the other kor kor jie jie

Satisfied with eoe

About a year ago, we discovered eoe online through our friend's blog. We were attracted by the concept of online photo printing and with the Blogger's program on that time, we decided pretty quickly to give eoe online a try. Check out our blog entry for the blogger's program 1 year ago here.

We were not disappointed. The photo upload service was easy to use, and we got our printed photos just a few days via courier service after we submitted the photos to print. The courier service used by eoe is surprisingly efficient. They called us to arrange for the suitable time for package delivery. All photos arrived in excellent condition.

Just a couple of months ago, we again decided to print more photos for our little Shanna's album. Since eoe online offered unbeatable price of RM0.30 per 4R photo, and RM0.50 for 5R, we used eoe online's service again. This time, we had more than 100 pieces of photos developed, so we didn't have to pay any shipping cost! All 100+ pieces of photos were exactly what we requested for, with the right multiple copies of certain photos.

The quality of the photos are quite good. Those that were developed 1 year ago and displayed in frames in our house are still in very good condition with no apparent fading.

Overall, we are happy to Buy Malaysian at eoe online :)

My short trip to Taiwan

It was a short 4 days business trip with 2 days in Taiwan and 2 days spent traveling.
What made it a good trip?
1. I went to the subcon. At subcons, we are always treated as VIP. The pressure is over on the other side :) We were treated to bubble tea every day :)

2. It was also my first trip overseas since I had Shanna, without having to lug around my breastfeeding gear and sticking to the schedule. So, I had more time to go out and more luggage space (better for shopping of course:)).

3. Going with colleagues who 'encouraged' me to try smelly toufu and duck's tongue... great experience! Some also knew the best places to eat in town, so lots of good food.

4. No earthquake experience this time round! Hehehe.

I like Taiwan for it's food. Very good taste, variety and reasonable price. No comment on sightseeing, because although this is my second time there, I never had the time to do much sightseeing.

Inevitably I missed home too, and couldn't wait to get back to see my baby! Hubby did a great job of taking care of Shanna. I got a totally different greeting from Shanna this time when I got back - indifference. As Grandma says, perhaps she just woke up in the morning and thought the past few days without Mummy was just a dream... or it could be that she was 'mad' with me? I'll never know, I guess.

Some pictures from Hsinchu, Taiwan.
